The PROMISE project has now entered a stage where the enterprises are already witnessing effective and efficient results in the form of resource and monetary savings from the recommendations provided to them by the project teams. The recommendations have led to results such as waste minimization, decreased energy consumption, and lower water usage within the enterprises. Through systematic data collection, we are now able to visualize and measure the output from the recommendations leading us closer to the project’s objectives.
STENUM Asia (one of the implementing partners in India) facilitated in-person workshops for the project teams in Sri Lanka and Maldives to equip the teams with knowledge about result collection of the implementations taking place in the enterprises under the PROMISE project.
On 23 May 2023, a workshop was held in Sri Lanka for the project team of National Cleaner Production Centre, Sri Lanka. 10 team members participated in the training which was facilitated by Mr. Vikas Singh (Associate Principal) and Ms. Shreya Pakrashi (Consultant) STENUM Asia. The training included two components - a classroom session and visit to 5 participating enterprises for result collection.
The classroom session was designed to help the team members understand the different data required for filling the result collection sheet and the visit to enterprises helped the team gain practical experience in collecting data on the implementations and filling of the result collection sheet.
The other topics of the training included, using Progress Monitoring Reports (PMRs), and creating showcases to highlight the project’s implementations. A detailed introduction to the PROMISE project and the different activities of the project were also discussed for a better understanding of the project for the new members of the project team.
With the completion of the workshop, the NCPC team is now prepared to monitor the results of the implementations from the participating enterprises under the PROMISE project.
