June 2022 - PROMISE Partners Meeting

The Project PROMISE held their partners meeting on the 09th of June 2022 at the Maldives National University. The meeting was attended by 15 members from all consortium partners - Maldives National University, adelphi, National Cleaner Production Center (NCPC), Parley Maldives, STENUM Asia and The Energy and Research Institute (TERI).

The meeting was initiated with remarks from Dr. Abdulla Nazeer, who welcomed all the partners and provided a brief structure of the meeting.

The first item on the agenda was an in-depth review of the PROMISE Sustainability Awards experience. Partners discussed the entire process of the awards, with a special emphasis on the challenges and potential improvements for next year’s awards. This was followed by updates provided by all consortium partners, with regard to the work packages of the project - from January 2022 to June 2022.

The action plan put together during the first partner’s meeting held in January 2022, at Sri Lanka was revisited by the consortium partners. This action plan was updated to reflect the deliverables that were achieved, and the targets that are yet to be achieved by the end of year 2 of the project. The partners proceeded to discuss the overall challenges observed in achieving the set targets for the project and brainstormed solutions to tackle the identified challenges.

The brief, yet fruitful meeting was concluded over lunch, with a positive outlook and determination from all project partners, on future project targets.
