Training of Trainers (ToT) for local consultants on conducting the physical and online assessment of enterprises

A short online Training of Trainers (ToT-lite) was conducted for the PROMISE project team members of Maldives, Sri Lanka and India, on 21st and 23rd June 2021. The purpose of this training was to revisit the objectives of the PROMISE project, familiarize the team with the methodology to be used for assessing participating enterprises and to prepare the participants for conducting the physical and online assessment of the enterprises.

A total of 29 participants attended this training, of which 5 were from Maldives, 16 from Sri Lanka and 8 from India. Day 1 of the training was mainly focused on briefing the participants on the defined project stakeholders, project objectives and indicators for success and the customised approach (PROMISE approach) designed for assessment under this project. The participants were also encouraged to visualize the project success and show it in the form of a doodle.

For day 2, the participants were given a case study to get a hands-on experience of finding the improvement options in a guest house using the PROMISE approach. The training was concluded with a brief outline of the upcoming activities for the next 3 months to be done as part of year 2 (July 2021 to June 2022) of the project.
