The Project PROMISE held their annual partners meeting from the 17th to 20th January 2022 at Waters Edge, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The meeting was attended by 13 members from all consortium partners – Maldives National University (MNU), adelphi, National Cleaner Production Center (NCPC), Parley Maldives, STENUM Asia, and The Energy and Research Institute (TERI).

The Head of Cooperation of the Delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and Maldives Mrs. Jenny Correia, has met with the project Prevention of Marine Litter in the Lakshadweep Sea (PROMISE) consortium partners at the Maldives National University on 16 November 2021.
The first of a series of internal thematic cluster consultative and brainstorming meetings involving country EU Delegations, National Focal Points of partner countries, stakeholders from grant projects, as well as selected regional and international partners was held virtually on 7th July 2021.
PROMISE Project launching activities were held from 25-28 January 2021 in Male’, Maldives.
On 25th January, the PROMISE project launching activities kicked-off with a beach clean-up event at Hulhumale’. The event was inaugurated by the First Lady, Ms. Fazna Ahmed.
